Policies & Fees
| Timing • Please be on time. • All sessions are 50 minutes long from the appointed start time. Five minutes before and after session are used to review and write client progress notes, making the full hour. • If you arrive early, please wait in the lobby for your appointed time prior to coming up. • Late arrivals will still be charged the full fee. • Appointment changes require at least 24 hour notice otherwise the regular fee for the entire session may be billed. Confidentiality • Everything shared in session will be kept in the strictest confidence. However there are a few exceptions. • You will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement stating you understand how confidentiality applies and what the legal limits of such confidentiality are. • Another professional may be consulted on specific cases as deemed professionally necessary, however the identity of clients will always be protected in such cases. • Counselling clients may be asked to provide contact information for a family doctor or clinician if under supervised care. In such cases, a medical release form will be provided authorizing sharing of information for the client's benefit. In-Take Questions • Each new client will be asked to answer a number of questions in order for the practitioner to become acquainted with their past, with their current situation and to determine what their goals would be for the future. This serves as a baseline from which the counsellor/consultant will work and it sets out clear client objectives. Intellectual Property • All intellectual property rights of materials introduced to corporate clients through facilitation or workshops remains with Life Passages Counselling and will not be surrendered. All intellectual property rights of client materials, included any assessments conducted by Life Passages Counselling remains with the corporate client. Fees (Plus 5% GST) • Initial intake session is not charged. • A limited number of rotating client spots are held for community outreach, at $25.75 per session, up to 6 sessions. There may be a waiting list, please inquire through the contact page. • Individual sessions are $77.25 per session. • Couples' sessions are $133.90 per session. • Encounter Groups are $360.50 for an 8 week cycle payable monthly (see Encounter Groups page for details). • Open Group Sessions are $36.00 each, with a reservation. • Quarterly Public Workshops are $55 in advance or $60.00 cash at the door with a reservation. • Corporate consulting services are $225 per hour. • Corporate Facilitation & Workshops are $3000 per day and include all materials for groups up to 10. • Large group learning facilitation must be negotiated.
